Checks and Balances
- Congress needs the president's signature on a law
- The President can veto the law
- Congress can override the veto
- The House of Representatives and the Senate both have to approve of the bill
- The judicial branch gets to decide what the law represents and is interpreted to mean
- The legislative branch can make a new law if they do not like what the judicial branch determined it to mean
